Further to Greg’s posting about Bush-hen, I also heard one yesterday in Beerwah in the Sunshine Coast hinterland on the corner of Peachester Rd and Old Gympie Rd, at a spot not far from the Beerway Primary School where we have heard them many times over the years. I am somewhat ashamed to admit that I have never knowingly seen a Bush-hen. I have always been on my morning exercise and you never, never stop for a bird on an exercise routine.
