Breeding New Holland Honeyeaters

The big rains in March, April seem to have sent some birds into their
breeding pattern.

I was at Reedy Lake at Shepparton on the 1st of May and there were Magpies
carrying sticks, there was also a pair of King Parrots with four of last
year’s young, feeding on Deadly Nightshade berries

They seem to have established themselves in this area, a long way from their
normal habitat ( Most likely from escapees ) but when they had finished
feeding the adults started looking in hollows and where squabbling with a
hen Yellow Rosella over the rights to a certain hollow.

I got photos of them feeding and looking into the hollows.

There was a clutch of just hatched Manned Geese on the lake also, very late
or very early ???
