Hi all,
I was down in Hobart back in March 2015 and popped into the Peter Murrell Reserve on a few occasions hoping to catch a glimpse of a 40-Spotted Pardalote. There have been several reports over the years stating that this is one of the best places to find them. On my final morning there a passing walker said that I’d be very lucky as only a single pair of the birds remained in the reserve. It seemed that he may have been correct as there were loads of pardalotes but no 40-spots.
I’m heading back down to Hobart again in the middle of May. Does anyone know if the 40-spots are still seen in the Peter Murrell Reserve and would it be worth my while giving it another go?
Thanks in advance for any info.
Cheers, Iain.
