Photographic record of a year with the birds

My 2014 calendar-year on the road was filled to the brim with bird-searching and birdwatching, with a veritable decade worth of of bird-related experiences crammed into those marvellous 365 days. Far too many twists and turns in the story to summarise in a post, though I hope to eventually complete a written account of the many trials and tribulations, adventures and misadventures, and highs and lows of the year – between which so many happy birding moments were enjoyed. In the meantime, in place of the blog I produced during my 2012 big year of birding, I’ve set up a mini-site at http://birds.reptilepark.net.au to provide images of most of the 770 bird species I encountered this time around. Hopefully similarly over-enthused birders will find the time to enjoy trolling through the images at their leisure. Cheers John Weigel
