FW: BBC News: Early results from farm bird count

A couple of interesting links off the BBC news pages today concerning Darwin Finches and the UK Farm Bird Count. In the latter, Starlings are becoming rare (wow?) and farmers seem to be competing to have the best birds on their patch.
