Red-billed Tropicbird $850 CHARTER FLIGHT

Hi,

I’ve just spoken to the Lord Howe guys. I am almost 100% convinced with the identification and should receive photos some time today. In the mean time, I have found another charter flight, half the price of the first.

I’ve also organised access with Lord Howe Parks, though this may incur a nominal charge for guiding services (unlikely to be more than $50 per person). The bird is a half hour walk from the airport but is in a private area that is sensitive to disturbance.

Subject to confirmation of ID, we will plan a charter on the weekend.

CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY.

Simon.

This report came via Tony Palliser, who was contacted by a visitor to the island. Tony has tentatively confirmed the identity of this bird. Once confirmed, this will make it a first for Australia! > > > > NOTE, WE EXPECT TO HAVE MORE DETAILS IMMINENTLY. > > > > There are no other details at present. Compare this to the cost of a return flight to Lord Howe plus overnight accommodation, approx $1,200 flight + at least $250 per person for accommodation, though this may not be available (Lord Howe accommodation is limited because it is a World Heritage Area) plus not inexpensive food. > > > > Please visit: > > > > http://birdo.wildiaries.com/trips/10347 > > > > > > Regards > > > > Alan McBride > > > > > > ******************************************************************************* > > Alan McBride, MBO. > > > > Photojournalist | Writer | Traveller | + > > Member: Australian Photographic Society > > Travel Writers Association – Board of Directors > > American Writers & Artists Inc. > > International Travel Writers & Photographers Alliance > > National Association of Independent Writers & Editors > > Travelwriters . com > > Travcom New Zealand > > Regional Representative Australia: Neotropical Bird Club > > > > http://web.me.com/amcbride1 > > http://www.wildiaries.com > > http://www.worldreviewer.com/member/alanmcbride/ > > http://www.linkedin.com/in/alanmcbride > > http://www.twitter.com/alanmcbride > > > > Good planets are hard to find; until we do, please, be green and read from the screen > > > > Tel: + 61 419 414 860 > > Fax: + 61 2 9973 2306 > > Skype: mcbird101 > > > > P O Box 190 | Newport Beach | NSW 2106 | Australia > > > > This e-mail and any files transmitted with it, are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to which they are addressed.
