Many thanks again to Phil Robertson and Greg Mueller who helped us along the beach in Gregs 4X4. We found the bird after a couple of hours of scanning the Tutchewop beach. However we noted that once found one overenthusiastic photographer got ridiculously too close to the feeding birds and eventually flushed them before other people had a chance to see the bird. This kind of selfish behaviour is to be deplored. Don’t know who he was but he upset a number of people trying to get a look. I hope he reads this and takes note. Tony.
