FW: Warblr: an app that recognises birds from their song

After the recent discussion here about automatic recognition of bird calls, some of you might be interested to follow this up. I’ve got no idea if it’s really feasible, or if they’d ever get around to doing any Australain species anyway. It’s based on the research we published earlier this year.* As well as getting the technology into people’s hands, our hope is to collect data that could be useful for conservation monitoring and for future research.
