Has anyone seen crocodiles use this trick in the Top End? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/wildlife/10496686/Crocodiles-and-alligators-use-sticks-to-fish-for-birds.html Carl Clifford =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: birding-aus-request@vicnet.net.au http://birding-aus.org ===============================
No, but I’ve watched them zigzag through the water at Leanyer Sewage Ponds, all the while drawing closer and closer to the goodies spread on tables on the causeway (once a Xmas party and the other time my birthday cake). One crocodile drew so close that I had to dismount my telescope in preparation to do battle with my tripod over the food. If readers don’t believe me I will produce witnesses at least to one of these events.
