Many thanks to those who responded to my RFIs about the Capertee Valley and the Royal Botanical Gardens. I am so grateful!! The former was fantastic and I saw bang on 100 sp in my 1.5 days, including 10 lifers and 15 honeyeater species. This morning before work I popped in to the Botanical Gardens and within seconds had located a powerful owl in a large fig just across the path from its favoured tree, complete with corpse of a flying fox in its talons. Will write a report in due course, and post some photos. Tomorrow will have few hours at Royal National Park, and then Friday evening set out cross-country on a short road-trip back to Adelaide.
