This bird looks interesting indeed. Not sure though, if the pictures suffice for identification down to subspecies level. Interestingly the first ‘Australian Reed-Warbler’ on Birds in Backyards is a Cisticola: http://www.birdsinbackyards.net/species/Acrocephalus-australis

The reason I thought it might be a subspecies is that; my S&D has a sub-species for the Pilbara and I didn’t resemble the nominate species much and I’d run out of other ideas.
