Happy New Year!
Were heading down to Warragul, Vic, today and will be there till about the 17th and then returning to Oberon via Numurkah – Deniliquin – and possibly Forbes.
But I was wondering if you know how we could get access to go birding on Sunday, January 13, in the WTP at Werribee. Are there any good birding spots on Phillip Is.?
And does anyone know if Plains Wanderer (ok not likely but… 😀 ) and Ostrich have been seen in the Deniliquin area recently?
Thanks a lot,
Stephen

Hi Stephen, I live on Phillip Island and can recommend it to all birdwatchers. Most of the best sites of the Island and the rest of Bass Coast are outlined in the Brochure “Bird Trails of Bass Coast” published by WESBOC, now BirdLife Bass Coast. The brochures should be available in any of the Shire’s information centres. The easiest to get to is probably at Newhaven, on the LHS after the roundabout.
