I have had spectacular views of a Topknot in our backyard in Killara, NSW for a few days. It sits in various trees early morning and seems to feed on next door’s fig tree. It never appears to fly far and could perhaps be nesting nearby.
On one occasion it was in the fig in full sun with tail and wings fanned out for 15 mins or so.
This follows a group of 4 briefly in our garden a couple of weeks back.
