Have just returned from an outback tour which got into eastern edge of Strezlecki Desert, and after a detour through Broken Hill, birded areas around Lyndhurst, Maree, Oodnadatta Track, then up Stuart H’way. SA birders may be interested in following sightings (Atlas records being submitted by another birder on tour). Plumed Whistling-Duck 26/4/10–pair on wetland halfway between Farina Station and Maree Gibberbird 27/4/10– single bird on road into Muloorina Station Short-tailed Grasswren–24/4/10–Stokes Hill Lookout, but two also seen in spinifex above creekline about 1km south of lookout Rufous Fieldwren 24/4/10— 1km east of Lyndhurst Inland Dotterel 26/4/10— between Lyndhurst & Farina Station Bourkes Parrot 29/4/10— approx. 55km north of Marla on Stuart H’way
