Yesterday I flushed a Rufous Owl while birdwatching near the Crater Mt. Hypipamee NP QLD. Today I saw a Golden Bowerbird at his bower south of the Crater. I am enjoying birding in Atherton Tablelands. On Sunday 20th Keith Fisher showed me the Spotted Whistling Ducks at Wonga, QLD. This was a welcome lifer and my first Aussie one for sometime. Trevor, I saw three Blue-faced Parrot Finches on Monday just south of the junction of McKell Road and the Kennedy Highway near Mt Hypipamee. No luck on Wednesday though. Alan
