We are still seeing the Buff-banded Rail in our front garden on a regular basis – three to four times a week with only casual observation.
It seems to use the bird bath twice a day; mid-morning and around 5.30 in the afternoon. Bathing lasts for at least 10 minutes and is followed by a longer period of grooming.
