George Chapman and I spent some time in Central Australia last week. Among finds were a number of families of Cinnamon Quail-thrush on the road to Henbury Meteorite Craters, not far before the picnic area. Dusky Grasswrens were seen at Santa Teresa Road and inside Gosse’s Bluff Crater and Striated Grasswren in front of the sunset viewing car park at Uluru. The highlight was a day with Mark Carter, who seemed to know where to find everything, including Flock Bronzewings, which came in to drink at a dam north of Alice Springs not long before dusk. According to Mark the Uluru site is at present the only accessible and dependable place for the Striated Grasswrens in the Territory. Jim Sneddon ===============================
