On Saturday morning ‘our’ Buff-banded Rail spent about ten minutes bathing in the deeper of two bird baths in our front garden. It then spent the next 15 minutes preening and stretching before wandering off.
It returned to the bird bath (unless we have two Rails) in the mid-afternoon for a shorter session.
