    I was just reading this item on a birding tour company web site http://www.birding2asia.com/W2W/Philippines/Zamboanga.html which dates from November 2012. They seem to think things were pretty OK in Zamboanga. I think that they were a bit optimistic I think birding in Zamboanga, particularly in the southern islands, should be regarded as being riskier than juggling hand grenades.
