?NIGHTJARS OVER MELBOURNE TENNIS = Silver Gulls

Dave! Were you really NOT watching the tennis and seeing those Silver Gulls flying around and their feathers floating down onto the court!

That Roger thought they may be Nightjars is welcome upgrade from the common belief that a bird active at night must be an Owl or a Night Parrot!

Apparently they were “using” a Wedge-tailed Eagle in an attempt to keep birds away. The tournament director was on TV talking about it early in the tournament, did anyone see this? He said they walk out on the court with the bird (rather than attach it to the top of the stadium as they allegedly did/do during AFL games!)
