The good news is that Back Yamma is a fantastic place for Black-eared Cuckoo. They were calling constantly throughout during an August visit there a few years back

I drove from Sydney on Thursday 26th, had lunch at Gum Swamp, Forbes, and started birding at Whoey Tank, Round Hill at 2 pm.
