Greetings, all!
I’m looking at photos of a juv Figbird (sent from a leafy Brisbane suburb)
in a ?poinciana tree for the last several days. The bird has one bright
white rump feather. The field guides are silent on this variation. Any
ideas? Just a random event?
What’s also odd is that this guide says breeding occurs Oct-Feb…
