The note accompanying the images says: “*Blackfin or blacktip reef shark, Carcharhinus melanopterus, seizes a chick of greater crested tern or swift tern, Thalasseus bergii or Sterna bergii, that has been washed out into the sea as the rising tide threatens to engulf the eroding remains of Turu Cay, Torres Strait, Queensland, Australia*”
