Recent Cocos sightings

Hello all, We spent Sat 22/11 to Sat 29/11/2014 birding on Cocos. Below are the rarities we sighted. Common (Eurasian) Teal Western Reef Egret Chinese Pond Heron Javan Pond Heron Chinese Sparrowhawk Pin-tailed Snipe Saunders’s Tern Asian Koel Hodgson’s Hawk Cuckoo Red-throated Pipit Other interesting birds seen were Oriental/Himalayan Cuckoo, Green Junglefowl, Common Redshank and White-breasted Waterhen. There’s a large low developing west of Cocos at the moment and we’ll be heading back there next Saturday with the hope of finding a few additional vagrants.
