MALLEE WESTERN WHIPBIRD?

It is surprising that the two sub species occur relatively close together. I have been told that the sub species at Toolbrunnup in the Stirling Range is nigrogularis. This is just south of Mt Trio. The vegetation is different, with areas of dwarf jarrah and different heath, but there is some mallee. I have looked there once, and didn’t hear or see anything. Does anyone know if it is nigrogularis or oberon? _________________________________________________________________ Frank O’Connor Birding WA http://birdingwa.iinet.net.au Phone : (08) 9386 5694 Email : foconnor@iinet.net.au
