Lake Eyre, Grey Falcon, Letter-winged Kite (ADVERTISEMENT)

Lake Eyre is almost full and Grey Falcon and Letter-winged Kite,
Australia’s most sought-after raptors, are breeding. The South Australian
outback is currently experiencing conditions not seen for over 5
years. We’ve scheduled an extra outback birding tour in early summer to
take advantage of this unique situation. Expect multiple sightings of
above-mentioned species as well as plenty of other good outback species,
including Black-breasted Buzzard, Inland Dotterel, Flock Bronzewing,
Australian Pratincole, Eyrean Grasswren, Cinnamon Quail-thrush, Gibberbird,
Orange and Crimson Chat, Banded Whiteface, Pied and Black Honeyeater; and
witness spectacular outback desert scenery with wildflowers along with the
famous rock formations of the Flinders Ranges. A scenic flight over lake
Eyre is included in the tour. It’s one of the best years for outback
birding – don’t wait to join us on this once-off tour!
