Broome Bird Observatory’s Jaime Jackett performing as ‘The Belle Miners’ at The Palace Hotel, Camberwell, Sat Feb 4 at 6:30pm

Hi,

Birding-aus regulars are warmly invited to come and see Jaime Jackett’s band, The Belle Miners perform at their only public performance in metropolitan Melbourne this year, before they head on a whirlwind tour of Tasmania. The Belle Miners who are Felicia Harding, Jaime Jackett (Broome Bird Observatory) and Marina Marina

Hot on the heels of this year’s tour, The Belle Miners will be recording their inaugural album “Powerful Owl”, with the assistance of a prestigious grant from Canada’s Foundation for Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings (FACTOR).

The Belle Miners’ music resonates with the wild places they come from and the wild places they perform. This year, they are proudly supported by Tasmania’s Frank’s Cider and will be entertaining audiences from deep inside limestone caves, to onboard tall ships and overlooking the craggy peaks of Black Bluff, near Cradle Mountain. With dense vocal harmonies, clever lyrics and a liberating, joyous sound. Lifelong friendship, a witty disposition, irrepressible charm and perfect vocal fusion blend to create music that brings many to tears and leaves every audience begging for more.

“Thank you for an unforgettable performance. I drove back with memories of music that will never leave me.” Chris Bell, Musician.

“With every key stroke and guitar strum their songs pluck at your heartstrings” David Locke, Forte Magazine
