Reported by: Gordon Pateman on Monday, March 24, 2014 ——————————————— Date: Wednesday, March 26, 2014 Location: Goolwa Ponds Hassel Road Freckled Duck (Stictonetta naevosa) (8) Birds were on the first large pond to the right of the bird hide. Yellow-billed Spoonbill (Platalea flavipes) (8) Birds were on the edge of the first pond with White Ibis Wood Sandpiper (Tringa glareola) (1) Single bird flew along edge of pond and landed along side Black-fronted and Red Kneed Dotterel. Sacred Kingfisher (Todiramphus sanctus) (1) Bird was first seen in the Dune area across from the second pull in area and then flew to a more favourable viewing position on the side of the road.
