Location: Sheidow Park back yard

Mistletoebird (Dicaeum hirundinaceum) (1) One female which foraged briefly in a fuchsia tree that was almost finished blooming.
First time I’ve seen a Mistletoebird in 16 years in my garden tho’ Silvereye are common.

Location: LARATINGA WETLAND MT BARKER

Musk Duck (Biziura lobata) (2) On the Effluent Lagoon

Crested Shrike-tit (Falcunculus frontatus) (2)

Freckled Duck (Stictonetta naevosa) (2) On concrete barrier in central pool

41 species in total. All usual birds including Red Kneed Dotterels, Red Browed Finches, young White Plumed Honeyeaters.

7 species of ducks.

2.5 hours bird-watching.

2 ring tailed possums!

Water level moderate .8m in central pond. Limited muddy areas.

Superb Fairy-wren (Malurus cyaneus) (1) More males than normal seen today. Photo Attached
