Bassian Thrushes

We have spent the past few days at Mallacoota where there has been an
astonishing number of Bassian Thrushes, We have seen them in at least 6
sites, mainly single birds but one lawn was graced with 3 at once. Other
birders, both local and visitors, have commented on the extraordinary
numbers.

Has a similar increase in sightings been recorded anywhere else?
