Curious. Surely the idea of “homing”, as it relates to Rock Doves, is the ability of the birds to return to home from some distant place. Therefore some of these comments below seem odd. If Barbary Doves don’t do this, then that does suggest that if they are released they won’t travel far or it does not suggest that if they are released that they will disperse. I think it suggests they would hang around with minimal movement for as long as they can survive in the area.
