Re Identification of tittifers

Hi Peter

With a one year old grandson, I have been introduced to “In the Night Garden” . See as follows – The Tittifers are CGI enhanced tropical birds with their own unique songs . There are four small blue Tittifers (Shaft-tailed Finches), three larger pink ones (European hoopoes http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoopoe ), two big green ones (White-cheeked Turacos http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White-cheeked_Turaco ) and one multicoloured toucan (either Channel-billed Toucan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Channel-billed_Toucan or White-throated Toucan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White-throated_Toucan ) with a huge purple beak. They sing usually between segments, and when they sing together, near the end, it is time to sleep. They were first featured in the episode “Makka Pakka Washes Faces”.

I am impressed at how accurately the birds are depicted.

Cheers

I assume “CGI enhanced” means they’ve taken real footage and just changed the colours around, etc, so they should look accurate.
