Invitation to anyone interested in waders.
Free Shorebird Workshop, Bicentennial Park Education Centre (see attached map), Sunday 6th February 09:00 – 15:00 (coffee and cake from 08:30 for those still needing breakfast!). To commemorate World Wetlands Day 40th anniversary we are holding a free workshop/social get together on waders of the Sydney and southern NSW. Everyone welcome but please RSVP to allow for catering (tea/coffee/cakes/biscuits) and seating. RSVP to Pixie, basna@birdsaustralia.com.au or phone 02 9647 1033 (Monday, Wednesday or Friday 09:00 – 3:00pm).
The day will start with short illustrated talks about shorebirds (waders) from various parts of Sydney and southern NSW. We will also be talking about what we are doing towards the long-term conservation of migratory and non-migratory shorebirds.
This is a chance to catch up with other people interested in shorebirds whether you are looking for someone to meet up with in the field or tag along with during regular shorebird counts (even if you can’t make it for the whole day).
