Tawny Frogmouth – Call Variations

I recorded the following audio track at night in Wyperfeld National Park, Victoria last October. It contains a few variations of the typical Tawny Frogmouth call (listen to two calling together at about 1:24-1:54 & again towards the end of the track). https://soundcloud.com/wildambience/early-morning-darkness-in-wyperfeld-national-park-victoria Southern Boobook, Owlet Nightjar and Willie Wagtail can also be heard, as well as an unidentified insect (cricket?) which definitely has some rhythm! If you are using a laptop or mobile device, you might need to listen with headphones to clearly hear the lower frequency calls. — Marc Anderson Wild Ambience Sydney, Australia E marc@wildambience.com www.wildambience.com
