Bird A Day 2015

This Year’s Theme is “Shrikenado”… just because we like to have fun! Try Bird A Day it’s free… I only send out invitations once or twice, near the new year. Why not try something different this coming year. Bird A Day offers a personal challenge that will cause you to see and enjoy more birds in the new year than you might if you don’t participate. Bird A Day challenges you as you see how many days in a row you can see/hear a different bird species. The Bird A Day website helps you track your effort and allows you to share how you are doing with others as they do the same. Go to the website, check it out and then register yourself. Once logged in you can enter some observations to see how it works. On New Year’s Day 2015 those test observations will be listed under 2014 and your new observations will be recorded in 2015 for everyone to see. It’s a friendly competition, mainly against yourself, since it would almost be impossible to have similar circumstances to make the competition even. So we all encourage one another and hope for the best. If you have already participated in the past, your old Account information is likely still good and active. Login with that… Messaging and Photo Uploads were added in 2012. Past Observations and Downloads were added in 2013, Groups and Custom Bird list were added in 2014. I’m still working on new features for the website to keep things interesting. For those of you in the UK , Australia, New Zealand, South America, Europe, Asia and Africa if you sign up I’ll make sure I create a custom bird list for your area for your convenience. I’ve already created lists for Australia, United Kingdom and a few other locations besides North America. Anyone can participate from anywhere in the world using the complete world list. Many travel while playing others, like myself stick to a relatively small area. Check it Out Bird A Day So, you are invited to join us and I encouraged you to invite your birding friend to participate with you this year. I invite you to join us this year. More information is available on the website about how the Bird A Day listing works. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Now It’s back to coding changes to the rest of the site before 2015 gets here.
