In the Orange district, no autumn migration occurred, we still have Yellow-faced Honeyeaters present in smaller then usual numbers, but no influx as has occurred in previous years.No large flocks moving through during April/May. I’m inclined to think it has something to do with a combination of a warmer autumn and now winter. There was a short flowering season of Mugga Ironbark and White Box on the west slopes, but was not particularly attractive to honeyeaters, except in a few locations. I’ve notice this before, the trees seem to be flowering, but no nectar flow. Possibly a sign of a drought?
