Yes, as you walk down from the Reserve to Rocky Point … You also get the Slender-billed White Eyes and California Quail there … Regards, Laurie. I think the noddies bred at 100 Acres Reserve, but there may be other spots as well. I didn”t see Black-winged Petrel because we visited in winter. _______________________________________________ Birding-Aus mailing list Birding-Aus@birding-aus.org To change settings or unsubscribe visit: http://birding-aus.org/mailman/listinfo/birding-aus_birding-aus.org

I’m afraid I’ve never been to Norfolk Laurie, but the Crimson Rosella and Black-winged Petrel were the key cues for me. I don’t know the lay of the land, but I know there are offshore sites where birds breed, so I’ll hazard a guess at Phillip Island??? Yes. Can remember which location on NI where you get all those birds (and their breeding activity) together? Regards, Laurie. I would have said Lady Elliot Island but didn’t think there were crimson rosellas there.  But there are so few places that the tropic birds breed…  LEI?   Wendy http://twitter.com/WendyJoy http://wjcsydney.wordpress.com http://kiva.org/invitedby/wendy2641 On Sunday, 23 March 2014 10:21 AM, Allan Richardson <albirdo@bigpond.net.au > wrote: Norfolk Island Laurie??
