Hi all, I have set the calendar of dates for pelagic trips aboard the MV Argonaut out of Nelson Bay (Port Stephens) for next year. There is also information on the Port Stephens pelagics on that same page. A link to all of the trip reports for pelagics that have run so far on the MV Argonaut out of Port Stephens can be seen on the right side of that page as well. In short, we depart Nelson Bay Public Wharf at 0700, returning to port somewhere between 1630-1700, depending on weather conditions and the number of ‘stop the boat!’ birds on the way back in. Nelson Bay is just over 2 hours from the northern edge of Sydney. There is a reasonable chance of seeing a local pair of Beach Stone-curlews about 10 minutes drive from the wharf too. Cost for the pelagics is $100. Contact me off-list if you would like to put your name down, or require more information.
