NSW ORAC, was Unknown Shorebird

Hi all, As a member of NSW ORAC I wrote an article or the HBOC newsletter earlier in the year to clarify a few things. See http://www.hboc.org.au/resources/documents/HBOC_Newsletter_Feb12.pdf On the Records Appraisal page on the HBOC website there is also a lot of info about ORAC. See http://www.hboc.org.au/index.cfm?menukey=39 I hope this clears things up for you Peter. Mick On 07/10/2013, at 9:59, Peter Shute <pshute@nuw.org.au> wrote: > Thanks, Nikolas. Hi Peter and others,   there is a Queensland Rarities Appraisal Committee and as with the NSW ORAC we work in close association with BARC. Contact details of the Queensland Rarities Appraisal Committee can be found either on the Birds Queensland Website or by contacting me directly.   David Stewart Birds Queensland Chairperson Rarities Appraisal Committee       ________________________________ From: Peter Shute <pshute@nuw.org.au> Cc: Mark and Amanda Young <youngsfamilymail@gmail.com>; Roger McGovern <roglou@bigpond.net.au>; “birding-aus@lists.vicnet.net.au” <birding-aus@lists.vicnet.net.au> Sent: Monday, 7 October 2013 10:52 AM Yes thanks, that clears up a lot of things, Mick. The key parts for me are that it’s not part of any other organisation, and works with BARC to avoid duplication. What I don’t know is if there are similar committees in other states. Why do I need to know? Just curious.
