Thanks to all that answered my request for the mystery parrot call, it turned out to be a Bourke’s and not a Mulga…..which I should have known:(
The next one is probably just as obvious but I can’t get the call of Common Eider from my mind so it’s really irritating. All I can think of is Spinifex Pigeon but though I’ve seen them haven’t heard them call yet.
I’ve posted it on my own site at www.aviceda.org/audio and on the Mystery sound forum on Xeno-Canto http://www.xeno-canto.org/121537
Earlier today one of the moderators of X-C asked me why there seemed so little interest in the site and bird-audio in general in Australia, so I would appreciate if we could show some participitation….upload those calls and get into the forums and show him otherwise!

Thanks to all those that answered my request, looks like I should have known this one, have heard a lot of them over the years but didn’t recognize the call on the segment, Crested Pigeon it is (hangs head in shame…..[?])
