We were in Laos in March 2010 birding only the Na Hin area in central Laos for bare-faced bulbul and sooty babbler. The trip report is at http://www.philipmaher.com/Laos2010tripreport.html I imagine that the dam building that was so bothersome is near completion if not completed. We enjoyed our accommodation and food but these things can change.
