3rd photo also a Carnaby’s based on the relatively broad bill. Yanchep well-known for Carnaby’s, wouldn’t have thought flocks of 500 not too unusual, though 1000 is pretty high (haven’t been for a while though) – wonderful sight either way though. The recordings do have some shrieky calls but I suspect they are more likely shrieky Carnaby’s calls Cheers,John
