Emu-Wren. That is a clever suggestion, for reason of the emblems of the two clubs. Or maybe even just a picture of the tail feather of an Emu-Wren. I can’t see it as representing a water bird any more than a non water bird. Anyway it is just a symbol and I hope it helps.
I for one find it hard to write I am a member of Birdlife Australia. Just as I disliked the change from RAOU to Birds Australia and the change from Bird Observers Club of Australia to Bird Observation and Conservation Australia. Both new names were nonsensical to say I am a member of. I am happy to be a member of a something club or Union (as the RAOU was, pompous as that name was).
I am, as the rest of us are, a mammal, not a bird. How can a mammal be a member of Birdlife? It is ridiculous! But I’ll live on regardless.
