We recently had the unfortunate circumstance of a cheap, pocket note pad getting wet such that we almost lost a lot of birding records gathered over several months. This has happened before. Over the years I have collected many cheap note pads of various sizes and types, partially filled with information, stored in shoe boxes etc about the house.
We are considering buying slightly larger but still shirt pocket sized, waterproof or weatherproof, note books/pads but there are a wide variety to chose from on the web, ranging from simple soft spiral bound to hard cover side bound etc etc.
Any opinions or advice regarding size, type, manufacturer etc would be appreciated.
