Macquarie Island photos

Hi all,

With the wonderful help of Sonja Ross and John Stirling at PhotoBOCA my Macquarie Island photos are now being loaded onto the PhotoBOCA website. For anyone interested they can be seen at:

or

There are still a few more to go and I expect that I will send the last of them off tomorrow and Wednesday. One or two are not as good as I had hoped but they are the first of the species on the site. Some, like the Chatham Albatross, *Thalassarche eremita*, which I will put up tomorrow were taken through the salt streaked window of the ship’s bridge. I could not get outside for the shot as the bird was on the weather side of the ship and the wind was blowing in excess of 35 knots and waves were breaking over the bow. When better example got posted I will take mine down.

cheers
