Gooday all
The responses I received re the Red-lored Whistler were records for 2001-03 and 2009. Has anyone seen these birds more recently in the Round Hill and Nominbie NR’s?

Hi there,
Sorry for the late report. Raja and I spent the Easter weekend [2010] with Ed Williams and Rob Hynson birding inland NSW.
Highlight: singing male Red-lored Whistler at Round Hill (sang only for a few minutes, got only suboptimal looks)
RFI: We heard that there were some people from Griffith who had Red-lored Whistler at Round Hill two weeks ago. Are there more sightings between spring 2008 and now? (except for Martin Cachard’s first year bird last spring)
And here the list:
Emu: 7 and 6 between Forbes and Lake Cargelligo Australian Shelduck: 11 at Fivebough and 45 at Lake Cargelligo several duck species with small ducklings (including Pink-eared Duck) Spotted Nightjar: 1 at Round Hill five falcon species (including a pair of Black Falcons at Fivebough) a late Pallid Cuckoo at Lake Cargelligo (but no Black-eared Cuckoos) several inland parrots including Mulga Parrot plus Glossy Black Cockatoo (but no Turquoise Parrots and only a roadkilled Major Mitchell’s Cockatoo) a late Sacred Kingfisher at Back Creek White-browed Treecreeper: 2 at Binya SF Splendid and White-winged Fairy-Wrens Shy Heathwren: common at Round Hill Speckled Warbler (one male singing out in the open) Western Gerygone Chestnut-rumped and Inland Thornbill Yellow-plumed, Grey-fronted and White-fronted HE at Round Hill Orange and White-fronted Chat at Round Hill Ground Cuckoo-Shrike: a pair with a large juv at a nest at Round Hill Gilbert’s and Red-lored Whistler at Round Hill Crested Bellbird mixed groups of both mudnest builders lots of Red-capped Robins
