Hi all,
One of my local spots (the ponds behind Rouse Hill Town Centre, NW Sydney) has had what appears to be a lone white faced heron there for at least a year, or close to.
Why would a bird live on its own and not where it might meet a mate? Temporarily makes sense to me, but longer-term?
Happy birding, Gordon Cain A casual birder NW Sydney ===============================
