Hi Stephen,
Never seen one in the Blue Mountains, though I have been walking there for years – I’d also be interested to hear from anyone who has. Never seen one walking around behind a lyre bird either as they are reportrd to do (though I have seen a yellow throated scrub wren doing so).

Hi Stephen & Stephen, The more rain forested valleys beyond Booker Road, Springwood proved most reliable a year or so ago:

Ruth and I saw several Pilotbirds on Kings Tablelands near Katoomba in early June 2008.
Paul Dodd Docklands, Victoria
