I have just heard from Rob Hynson who is on the Sydney pelagic today & they have had a Great Shearwater!! I’m sure more details will follow tonight from those on-board…..

    Martin et al,

    Interesting how the Great Shearwater have been turning up in our waters. There have been some fairly strong magnetic storms from the Sun in the last month or so, severe enough to upset HF radio traffic. I wonder if these storms have messed up the GS’s internal compasses?
