Birding-Aus Digest, Vol 128, Issue 2

Hello Kirri,
Its a little late to see shorebirds on breeding plumage because they have leave breeding area and are on automn migration.
I dont know where you can see them around Rovaniemi.
I am now in Norway in Varanger and on the fjord, its possible to see some shorebirds species. Look on this link :
Today, 1 sanderling and maybe Red Knot these days….
If you come here, send me a message. 
Its it possible to keep in touch because I am forecast to go on Australia next year for 9 months?

Hi all ??
Am currently in the Lapland?s of Finland BRIEFLY for Saturday?was wondering if there were any birdwatching spots near Rovaniemi? Or anyone know much about this area ??
And is there anywhere near here or hour away orless  where I might find shorebirds in breeding plumage still??  ?
Or how close would a Snowy Owl be to Rovaniemi?
Or do I have to go WAAAY further North to see these?
I have NO CLUE about birding in the Lapland?s as I?m from Australia so?just seeing if I could get a quick response from anyone before tomorrow ?
I?ll also check EBird but would appreciate some info?
